"The legendary Julie d’Aubigny leads a sensational life: loving deeply, fighting recklessly, and always followed by a chorus of gossips embellishing her actions. How much of the real Julie lives on in the stories we know of her today? This play is a beautiful queer story filled with action, romance, and comedy.
This production of The Aria of Julie d’Aubigny will be its world premiere."

Emily Dickinson Hall; Hampshire College, 893 West Street, Amherst, MA, 01002
"An environmental crisis brings an island community together to take action, but personal connections – from deep friendships to a sense of obligation to the local pharmacist – are the heartbeat of the play. Deep Blue Sound is a moving, joyful exploration of interwoven friendships, passions and losses – with a surprising and uplifting ending that leaves us with hope and inspiration – an Our Town for our time."
ABOUT ME
Marco White (he/him) is a Greater Boston theater artist and musician who loves to bring stories to life through sound design and original composition.
Marco is a recent University of Massachusetts Amherst alum, holding a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theater with a focus in Sound Design and Performance. Known for his incredible collaborative process, he was honored a Denise Lessard Wagner Community Spirit Award, and has worked with theaters, such as Silverthorne Theater Company, Theatre@First, Theater Between Addresses, and UMass Theater.
Marco's journey in theater began in middle school as an actor; but beginning in 2023, he has expanded his skills in the world of sound and music. His work combines ambient soundscapes and musical compositions to help support narrative structure, evoke emotional depth, and enhance spatial and psychological dynamics onstage. Through sound, he investigates elements of character psychology, dramatic tension, and storytelling arcs; crafting immersive experiences that foster meaningful connections between the audience and the performance.
Outside of theater, Marco loves to make music, write, record, and produce tracks. He shares original music, covers, and guitar tutorials under the artist alias, Marcotic Pills. When he's not making music, he enjoys drawing original fantasy characters for DnD campaigns, reading webcomics, playing and geeking about video games, and watching animated films and niche documentaries.
Take a listen to Marco's work through the Sound Design, Composition, and Music Production pages.
He doesn't know what the future will bring, but he's excited to keep creating, growing, and collaborating with other like-minded artists!
"I'm a firm believer that sound is such an vital, yet beautiful vibration of energy our ears can have access to, as it is able to help us evoke/process emotions, recover from certain conditions/traumatic injuries, better understand and learn more about the environment we surround ourselves in, shape moods, trigger memories, and create deep connections, making it one of the most immersive and transformative forces in the human experience and beyond. Without this vibration of energy, we would be eerily detached from one another and our surroundings and the sensory richness of our experiences would be profoundly diminished. Sound is a human experience that brings us together; an experience to cherish with all types of people."
