Based in the Greater Boston area, Marco (he/him) is a passionate theater artist who specializes in sound design, music composition, and music production. He is an Early Career Member of the Theatrical Sound Designers and Composers Association.
Since middle school, Marco has been involved with theater, specializing his skills as an actor. Recently, he began to expand his unique technical skills in the field of sound and music. He uses sound through ambient soundscapes and musical compositions to help tell, enhance, give layered/spatial depth, and foreshadow events in a story, as well as to help better understand a character's internal perspective provided from their given circumstances, objectives, obstacles, actions, and stakes, while providing a deep, enjoyable experience for a live audience to be emotionally and dramatically connected to.
Outside of theater, Marco loves to create, compose, and produce professional studio music. He uploads original music, covers, and guitar tutorials under the artist name, Marcotic Pills. He formed an alternative/indie band known as Infinite Jesters.
Marco is a recent University of Massachusetts Amherst graduate, holding a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theater, where he specialized in Sound Design and Performance. He's received an internship with Silverthorne Theater Company's Summer 2025 season as an Assistant Sound Designer.
You can hear all of his work through the Sound Design, Composition, and Music Production tabs.
"I'm a firm believer that sound is such an vital, yet beautiful vibration of energy our ears can have access to, as it is able to help us evoke/process emotions, recover from certain conditions/traumatic injuries, better understand and learn more about the environment we surround ourselves in, shape moods, trigger memories, and create deep connections, making it one of the most immersive and transformative forces in the human experience and beyond. Without this vibration of energy, we would feel very eerily detached from one another and our surroundings and the sensory richness of our experiences would be profoundly diminished. Sound is a human experience to cherish with all types of people and brings us a sense of belonging. Sound in the context of live theater is a powerful auditorial and educational tool that has a purpose of helping audiences and performers better understand how this certain technical element enhances and drives the overall performance, experience of the production, and the immersive nature of storytelling."
